Pitch
Your Norfolk activity holiday includes your choice of pitch at the beautiful Top Farm and a two or three night stay.
Top Farm is situated in the picturesque countryside of rural North Norfolk, close to the village of Marsham. The campsite directly adjoins 350 acres of wood and heathland, that’s home to an array of wildlife. You´ll get to enjoy the wildlife relaxing and taking in the splendid views or on one of the many walking and cycling routes.
All visitors to Top Farm are extended a warm welcome and you’ll soon feel at home in this tranquil and secluded location, far from the madding crowd or any other kind of crowd for that matter!
The campsite is fully equipped with all the modern facilities you´d expect, shower and toilet blocks, electric hook-ups, we´ve even got great 4G signal and free phone charging facilities. You can also bbq to your hearts content and enjoy the firepit in our outdoor covered area.

Pedal
Your two day Norfolk activity holiday includes the hire of two hybrid bikes for two days, with puncture kit and lock, supplied by our friends Aylsham Cycle Centre.
You’ll need to bring your own helmet, cycling gear (including gloves) and backpack. If you don’t have your own cycle helmet, we can lend you one.
DAY 1
10:00 – 11:30
Before you get pedaling there will be a quick lesson and safety chat. Then you´ll pedal your Hybrid Bike from Top Farm along the beautiful Bure Valley path for 8 miles to The Rising Sun on Coltishall Green. Here you’ll lock your bikes up for the next few hours while you paddle your canoe.
Paddle
The CanoeMan will supply you with a two seat Canadian canoe, paddles, life vest and a paddling technique and safety lesson.
Day 1
11:30 – 14:30
After your bike ride you´ll meet ‘The CanoeMan’ who will transport you by minibus back up-river to Buxton. Here you’ll be launched in your two-seater Canadian Canoe for an unforgettable, paddle down the River Bure back to Coltishall Green. You’ll then moor your canoe, enjoy refreshments if needed, retrieve your bike, and cycle back the 8 miles to Top Farm.
For your dinner it´s a very pleasant one mile plod along field footpaths from Top Farm to The Plough Inn where you can enjoy top pub grub.
Plod
Plod or Pedal the many trails and cycle paths from Top Farm to explore the array of local attractions and wildlife.
Day 2
Below are a couple of our favourite attractions to plod or pedal to on day 2. We also have a handy Norfolk trails map to download, produced by Norfolk County Council and created by Paul Thorogood.
Aylsham & Blickling
Top Farm is three miles along cycle paths from Aylsham, The Bure Valley Path and Marriotts Way. It’s only four safe cycling miles to Weavers Way and 5 miles to The National Trust gem Blickling Hall & Blickling Park.
Norwich & Cromer
We’re 12 miles due north of The Medieval City of Norwich and 14 miles due south of Cromer Beach. If you´re tired of cycling you can visit both by bus, the timetable is available here 44, 44a, x44 | Sanders Coaches. Our nearest stop is Marsham Green, which is approximately a mile from Top Farm.
The Norfolk Broads
It’s 11 miles to Wroxham, the Capital of The Broads, which can be safely cycled on The Bure Valley Path, or by taking the narrow-gauge steam railway along the beautiful Bure Valley.
